    Day 1: Transfer to Jinja

    After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel and will be transferred to the Sezibwa Falls in Jinja. , which flows from the wetlands between Lake Victoria and Lake Kyoga. Sezibwa Falls are about seven meters high and the sweet hissing sound created by the falling water forms beautiful scenery for watching, attracts bird species, and the beautiful compliment the hiking.

    The Sezibwa falls have a cultural and traditional bearing in the region and to the Baganda in particular due to the myths behind the formation of the Sezibwa River.  You will proceed to Jinja after for a boat ride to the source of River Nile.

    You will have lunch and after enjoy horseback riding where you will view the village life of the surrounding communities, have beautiful views of River Nile, farmlands and plantations. You will return to the lodge after as you await dinner and overnight stay.

    Day 2 of 9 Days Uganda Culture & Wildlife Safari: Transfer to Sipi Falls Area

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sipi falls region. On arrival, you will enjoy lunch and in the afternoon, you will go for a community tour and see how the locally grown Arabica coffee is processed. You will also visit the waterfalls and return to the lodge after.

    Day 3: Transfer to Moroto/Cultural Sights

    After breakfast, you will leave the stunning views of Sipi Falls and start the journey to Moroto with an enroute game drive within Pian Upe wildlife reserve where you will spot Zebras, Cheetahs, Cape Buffaloes, Jackals, Antelopes, and many more with in this fresh and less visited wildlife reserve in Uganda. After the beautiful experience in Pian Upe, you shall leave for Moroto town to continue our cultural experience with the Karimajong people. The drive to Moroto will give you great views of beautiful scenery in this part of Uganda.

    On arrival in Moroto, check in to your accommodation.

    Day 4 of 9 Days Uganda Culture & Wildlife Safari: Transfer to Kidepo NP/Game drives in the park and community tour

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kidepo National park in a landscape of vast plains and semi-arid savannah framed by jagged mountains and wooded hills. Kidepo is one of the wildest and most spectacular reserves in Africa. The landscape throughout the park is studded with small hills, rocky outcrops and inselbergs from which one can obtain stunning views in all directions.

    You will enjoy panoramic views of the Narus River Valley and photographic opportunities of wildlife from all corners. You will have lunch and will continue with game-drives where you will see elephants, herds of buffaloes, jackals, Jackson’s hartebeest, klipspringer and possibly lions, leopard and cheetah.

    Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Cultural tour of the Karamajong tribe

    After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring area crossing the sand river (if there is water in the sand river game-drive in another area). A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will take a visit to a willing community of Karimojong. You will discover the unique culture of this remote tribe with the Lorukul Cultural Group, located just outside Kidepo Valley National Park.

    Their main livelihood is herding livestock, and the social and cultural importance will be explained as you walk with the guides to the traditional Karamojong manyattas (homesteads), granaries and cattle enclosures. You will learn how the villagers make their distinctive beads, sample the local cuisine, and even learn the tribe’s folklore and beliefs. You will meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. You will return to the lodge after.

    Day 6 of 9 Days Uganda Culture & Wildlife Safari: Transfer to Murchison Falls NP

    In the morning, you will drive out of Kidepo Valley National Park possibly spotting some interesting sights as you exit and start the journey to Murchison Falls National Park for the next adventure. You will be transferred through Uganda’s biggest town in the North, Gulu, and continue through the flat scenic landscape with local villages. You will arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation as you await for dinner.

    Day 7: Game drives and boat ride and hike to the water falls

    Wake up early for your breakfast and after the driver and a ranger guide will be picking you up for a game drive. Catch up with the predators and early risers like; herds of buffaloes, Uganda kob, baboons, elephant, hyenas, jackals, giraffe, velvet monkeys, antelope, lion, warthogs and so many others. You will also encounter different types of birds during the game drive.

    You will go back to your lodge to rest abit as you wait to have your lunch. After lunch you will go for a boat cruise at the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls cruising past huge hippo pods, bathing buffaloes, crocodiles and several aquatic birds on the north bank as you hike to the top of the falls where the calm Nile perfects its beauty.     Day 8 of 9 Days Uganda Culture & Wildlife Safari: Chimpanzee trekking in Budongo Forest

    You will have your breakfast early enough and after you will head to the head offices where you will be briefed on how the tracking is done. You will then be divided into groups and led by an experienced ranger guide who will take you through the tracking. You are advised to carry bottled water and snacks just in case the tracking takes long.

    After locating the chimpanzees, you will be given a maximum of 1hr with them to enjoy the most thrilling experience. This chimp tracking will also give the bird watchers the opportunity to sight different bird species in the forest especially Budongo Forest. After you will go back to your lodge where you will be served lunch.

    In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat ride to the Nile Lake Albert Delta where you will sight different birdlife for example: Goliath Heron, Grey crowned crane and the rare shoe bill stock. Overnight stay at Fort Murchison Safari Lodge

    Day 9: Rhino Tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary/Transfer to Entebbe/Departure

    After breakfast, you will leave Masindi and head towards Ziwa rhino sanctuary. On arrival, you will trek the Rhinos and have lunch after. You will be transferred to Entebbe where your guide drops you off at the airport for departure.
